Genei no Katachi/Sarasouju no Komoriuta Release Interview
There's still more growth to come.
Kagrra had their major debut on January 1st of 2004, and the first work they're releasing in 2005 is a single with two versions that have different A-sides. Now they can grow more as a band along with the charms of stillness and motion unique to Kagrra.

―Kagrra is starting 2005, their second year of being major, with a concurrent release of a double A-side single with different track order and coupling songs. First of all the new song "Genei no Katachi" is dynamic and speedy as a basic quality, and above that the decorative guitar is how they expressed the Wa taste. This is the development of the rock band Kagrra.
Izumi: A lot of takes heaped up prior to this, but lately I've decided on my own "I'll be finished when I try it 3 times!" but then when we were cultivating the sound, we spent more time on it than before.
Nao: And for me it's like I could suddenly comprehend those phrases, and I think I've had great growth because of it.
Shin: The guitar recorded along with the drums was left over from the previous work, but because of that I spent more time on the overdub.
Akiya: It fits well, doesn't it, the overdub of "Genei no Katachi"? (laughs) But I think in the end we were able to make put the guitar in well.
Isshi: Everyone was in their rough stage, so to speak. Or should I say, it's not "Got it!" so much as "Shall we go on?" like a feeling of losing too much strength. So I think we've grown in this year.
―And "Sarasouju no Komoriuta" is a self-cover of a beloved ballad from your indies era.
Izumi: It's a song we've often performed at lives, but we thought that when we entered the major field we still want people to listen to it on a recording.
Shin: But we really worried about how we'd change it and what parts. Originally we didn't change the lines but we thought we'd change the overall atmosphere.
Nao: When I listen to what we did before, it's like "The sound is so weak!!" (laughs) But this time I think the band's groove has developed more from the phrases in this song.
Akiya: So we don't want to say "This is complete!" And I think we can grow even more from this point.
Isshi: But I think there are still people who don't know we've been major for 1 year. This song means we'll be letting them know about our 2nd year.
