Harpy
A story I heard from a friend living on the second floor of an apartment building.

One morning, he woke to a conversation like this from outside his window:
"Hey..."
"Is that so..."
"Uh-huh..."

At the beginning, he was only thinking "shut up~!" but after a little while, "Huh? Aren't those voices are awfully close?"
When he strained his ears to listen, he really had a hunch that he was hearing them from just outside his window. However, since this was the second floor it was really unlikely that people could be outside the window, and he thought it was suspicious. He approached the window timidly and opened it all at once.

Then, with the sound of flap flap flap, he saw two crows taking off.

He faltered for a moment, but calmly considered it and became frightened.
'Crows were chatting...? I've surely heard of crows that can utter human words, but that was a conversation..."

Ever since then, he has acquired a dread of crows.
<Coach's Exhaustion>
Yeaah... out! This isn't strange at all, Isshi? First of all, if the place where he heard the voices is at an apartment building, I can think of various possibilities... It could be neighbours, or it could be from the first floor... for now it's a voice from this world, and it's likely that it's a story of crows from this world who have strong voices. Then it can only be an out. Incidentally, I've encountered this kind of scenario in the past.
It was when I was walking down the road.
I heard a voice from above saying "Oi~! It's dangerous~"
'What's dangerous?' I thought, looking up, and there was one crow perched on a roof. (I'll call him A.)
And just there, from behind me, I heard "Howcome~?" I looked back over my shoulder and there was a crow on another roof. (I'll call him B.)
Furthermore,
A: "Isn't it tasty?"
B: "Isn't it?"
A: "Dangerous~"
B: "Dangerous~?
A: C'mon let's go."
And both crows took off as one.
It was just like a conversation about cake that two people were having a while ago. Of course, the words were a monotone (I added in ? marks arbitrarily). Since I merely witnessed this, I don't think it was a natural 'conversation'. After all, it didn't seem as though they had the intention of communicating, so would a conversation be too difficult? As the 49th story, making it a conversation from the outset... I think you should definitely have people (eyewitnesses) there. This resembles what I would call a usual mystery, and the truth is that there's no meaning to these things and things that happened. Be careful, because it's usually people who give mystery to these stories and let them have significance and reason. If it's difficult to say, the mystery isn't what happens as the scene, it's what happens when you're writing it on your desk. By the way, why is the title 'Harpy', Isshi?
