14
Another story of Shikoku.
When we arrived at the aforementioned shrine, first of all as a matter of etiquette I cleansed my hands in the wash basin and entered the grounds. After that, we took tea up at the shrine and filled in the blank paper for our ritual prayer, then respectfully finished up our ceremony and came back to consciousness again.

There were fortune slips there and I asked Coach, "What if I receive words from the Gods?"
Thinking I surely would, I slotted in some small change and pulled out the fortune slip. I was about to open it promptly, but Coach asked me "What number was it?"
I looked at the number inscribed on the surface, and it was somehow 14... could it really be such a thing? I was dumbfounded.

My name is "Isshi." That is to say, if you convert it to numbers it's 14 so this number really suits me. Therefore I'm entwined with this number at each and every opportunity in various ways, but never did I think to pull it here...

Even the contents were exact to my current state, and it frightened me to the depths of my heart. But there is more past this point in the story. Somehow, the return flight was aircraft number 1414.

<Coach's Mischief>
The last flight of Japan Air Lines・Takamatsu→Haneda is always 1414 (I'm sure this is recent). It is the 14 that rhymes with Isshi's name, or rather I know that you like 1 and 4. Therefore... this year, since the lottery ticket I got at the Kadokawa Bookstore party was number 〇〇〇414, if you want this one, Isshi, I'll give it to you as a present on stage at the next "Isshi Mimibukuro." Your joy at that time will be just like a child. Lottery ticket is 414, the fortune was 14, the first trip to Shikoku* had the return flight 1414... As well, the first Isshi Mimibukuro after last year's absence was the 14th。Like that, it was a year when 1 and 4 were excessively piling up... Isshi.

*Shikoku (四国) has '4' in it.
