Eye
A story of my friend's childhood.
When he was still an elementary school student, he was a so-called "seeing" child. When I asked him what was the scariest thing that he saw above all, he told me this story.
It was one night, when he went to the toilet. His bedroom was on the second floor, but due to the house being old and no electricity in the staircase, he slowly descended by feeling along the wall. Reaching the first floor, he reached out his hands like that and turned on the light switch in the washroom, then sat on the seat. It was when the deed was finished and he pulled up his trousers.
Suddenly he felt a gaze. He stopped pulling up his trousers, his face stiffened, and only his eyes moved as he looked around him. One eye was peeking in from the gap in the door. That eye met his eyes. What to do...
Without having moved from where he was, he reseated himself on the seat which was raised up, and the gaze from that eye wasn't diverted, so sooner or later he turned pale from fright. Perhaps if he opened the door, the eye would disappear? So, just as he touched the doorknob, that eye somehow increased up and down to a countless number, until finally the gap was blocked off by a line of those eyes.
He was so afraid in that moment that he let out a scream and held his head, trembling. His mother heard his voice and came downstairs, saying "What's the matter?"
She opened the door, but there was nobody there.

You did it Isshi!! It's a fantastic personal experience story. Yeeaah, I'm envious. Moreover, this is a pretty scary scene!! If that was me, I wouldn't be able to go to the toilet by myself from the next day on. Even in the daytime. I would say that this is a frightening story that makes readers think "What will I do if it comes to me tonight?" That being said, I think it would've been okay if you hadn't especially written "a seeing child." As a ghost story, it's scarier if it's not just this kid who is "special." It's scarier if there is somehow the factor that anybody, at any time, can meet it.
