Playground

When malice and bitterness whirl about
Even tonight I can reel them in
In tempo with the ringing sound of a bell
Accompanied by singing and dancing

Gently caressed by beautiful claws
The shape of your mouth already softens
Taking pleasure as though bewildered
I creep along your colourless neck

Sinking deeply, my body shakes up creaking bones

I peel off your undershirt and secretly
Hide my little finger in your untied obi
Wound up in the poison of an escaping sigh
We fall into the depths of hell

Sinking deeply, my body shakes up creaking bones

Come, come, play my body and drowsily abandon reality
Come, come, come here and forget your heart
Come, come, play my body and aimlessly abandon reality
Come, come, come here; that's right, this is a wondrous city

Rub wet droplets together and if gasping cries resound
The crow that tells of the dream's end will peck at your soul

Sinking deeply, my body shakes up creaking bones

Come, come, play my body and drowsily abandon reality
Come, come, come here and forget your heart
Come, come, play my body and aimlessly abandon reality
Come, come, come here and pile up at the edge of Children's Limbo*
Come, come, play my body and drowsily abandon reality
Come, come, come here and forget your heart
Come, come, play my body and aimlessly abandon reality
Come, come, come here; that's right, this is a wondrous city

Notes:

Although I translated the title as Playground, the real Gion (祇園) is an entertainment district in Kyoto.

*Children's Limbo is 犀の河原 (sai no kawara), literally 'the rhino's riverbed'. In mythology, it's the edge of the Sanzu River (Buddhist equivalent to River Styx), and people pile rocks there in favour to their departed children. You can read about that some more here.
Note that this site uses the kanji 賽の河原 (literally 'riverbed of dice'), which seems to be the more common way of writing it.
