A story of my cat.
I like it when cats play and chase things, but lately the cats in my house are playing with things that I can't see with my own eyes. One day, my cat was playing with a small ball as usual and she swallowed it by accident, so ever since then all of their small toys have been put away. But, several nights later, when I went into my room, the cat was running around like she was chasing something...
"What? Your toys are all put away, so is it a bug?" I thought, looking carefully, but I couldn't see anything at all...
There was nothing. Absolutely nothing.
The cat, however, was running freely around my room. When I watched her for a little while, the cat behaved like she'd finally caught something, and just like that put it in her mouth and started gnawing on it.
"What are you eating?!" I immediately rushed over to her and forced open her mouth but there was nothing inside.
It's still mysterious behaviour but ever since then the cats in my house have all been playing with that "something"...
I was hoping to get through the whole book without having to add my own input. But unfortunately, to translate Kihara's comment on this story, I had to make up a word: catscription. The word for description he used is 描写 but in brackets he wrote 猫写 - notice the similarity between the two initial kanji? Not only do they look similar, but they also share byou as a reading! The first one means 'draw' and the second is 'cat'. Japanese people would read both words as byousha, but since Kihara used the cat kanji I felt I had to do the same.
